The volcano is located on the Paramushir Island, in 60 km to the south-west from Severo-Kurilsk, in the northern part of Karpinsky ridge joining Chikurachki volcano in the north.

Form and structure | ||||||||||
The stratovolcano is nested on the volcanic ridge of Karpinskiy merging with Chikurachki volcano in the north and Lomonosov volcano in the south. It is irregular massif with some summits and flank craters. |
